Hello... and thanks for getting this far.

I’ve had something of a reset. Fewer assumptions, fewer decorative titles, fewer names kept around out of habit. What comes next will depend rather more on who is actually worth bringing into it.

A useful little test occurred to me recently:....If I disappeared from your friends list tomorrow, would you care... or even notice?

And, of course, the same question applies equally well in reverse.

Friendship here should probably amount to more than two names sitting indefinitely on one another’s lists, never speaking and barely remembering why they were added in the first place. So yes, there may be some pruning. Nothing personal.

I’m not your “Daddy”, I’m not here to bankroll your wardrobe in exchange for attention, and I have little interest in auditioning for the role of convenient male wallet. If that is what you’re looking for, save us both the effort and move along.
