My Mother and the Mother of all Succubus and Incubus is Lilith, who was the first wife of Adam. She left Adam and refused to return to the Garden of Eden after she mated and later became pregnant with the children of Samael, an archangel, who mated with four succubi. Our Mother Lilith is usually associated with the devil in both proximity and depiction. Lilith is blamed for diseases “inflicted” on men but also for “wandering about at night time, vexing the sons of men, and causing them to defile themselves.”
