"Under Different Moons"
by Dave
We met only weeks ago,
yet somehow the connection runs deeper
than anything I expected
a quiet thread between us
that tightens a little more
every time we speak.
You live beneath another sky,
another rhythm,
another moon that decides
when our worlds overlap.
But even with the distance,
you’re never far from my thoughts.
I dream about you
not just the moments we share in Second Life,
but the ones that haven’t happened yet,
the ones where I’m close enough
to feel your warmth for real,
close enough to hold you,
close enough to show you
what it means when a man
truly cherishes a woman.
You’ve lived through more than most,
carried burdens no one should have to carry,
yet you still offer kindness,
still give warmth,
still laugh with a spark
that reaches across countries
and finds me here.
And somehow,
despite everything you’ve endured,
you opened your world to me,
not just the pixels,
not just the home you built,
but the space beside you
where I’m allowed to stand.
Every day I look forward
to the moment our moons align again,
to the sound of your voice,
to the way you make even a digital world
feel real,
feel alive,
feel like a place I want to return to.
One day, maybe,
the dream will stretch beyond the screen,
beyond the distance,
beyond the borders between us.
One day, maybe,
I’ll be close enough
to wrap my arms around you
and show you,
not in words,
not in pixels,
but in the simplest human way
how deeply you are valued.
Until then,
I hold onto what we have now,
the connection,
the warmth,
the hope of more memories to come
under whatever moon guides us next.
