The Legacy of Khazad-dûm

Born beneath the mighty mountains of Khazad-dûm, Helga Stonecurd comes from an ancient dwarven clan whose mastery of cheesemaking was as respected as the finest smiths and stoneworkers.

For countless generations, the Stonecurds tended great chambers of aging cheeses, where cool mountain air and rune-carved stone shelves gave their creations flavors unmatched throughout the dwarven kingdoms.

Helga learned her craft at her grandmother's knee, mastering the secrets of curd-cutting, whey-turning, and rind-aging. To her clan, cheese was never simply food. It was heritage, craftsmanship, and a source of tremendous dwarven pride.

But even the greatest kingdoms cannot remain unchanged forever.

When the chapter of her life in Khazad-dûm came to an end, Helga gathered her family's treasured recipes, her grandmother's cheesemaking tools, and the precious knowledge passed down through generations.

Though leaving the great mountain halls saddened her heart, she knew the Stonecurd legacy must continue.

A New Beginning on Everdale Isle

After a long journey beyond the mountains, Helga eventually found her way to Everdale Isle.

Here she saw the opportunity to begin again, carrying the traditions of her ancestors into a new land.

Helga set about establishing herself as a master cheesemaker once more, determined that the name Stonecurd would remain synonymous with the finest dwarven cheeses.

Her beloved creations include:

Hammerhold Romano: A sharp, robust cheese with a bite worthy of a dwarven warhammer.

Cavernvein Gorgonzola: Rich and beautifully veined, recalling the mineral-streaked stone of her ancestral home.

Granitecoil Provolone: A hearty, full-bodied cheese traditionally served at great dwarven feasts.

And perhaps, in time, Everdale Isle will inspire new creations worthy of joining the Stonecurd family recipes.

The Spirit of a Stonecurd

Helga is a dwarf of hearty laughter, stubborn determination, and a generous spirit, particularly when someone shows an appreciation for fine cheese.

She is never shy about telling stories of Khazad-dûm, especially when accompanied by good food and friendly company.

Although she misses the echoing halls of her childhood, Helga believes that a homeland lives on through the traditions its people carry.

Her workshop may stand far from the mountains of her ancestors, but her craft remains unchanged.

Above all, she proudly carries the motto of Clan Stonecurd:

"Pressed by Stone, Blessed by Time."

For Helga Stonecurd, Khazad-dûm will forever be the home of her ancestors, but Everdale Isle is where the next chapter of her story shall be written.
