- ** FAQs #2 So, I was kind of thinking about a thing, and I think I might need some scripts..... - Groovy! I may be too busy to take your job myself, but if so, I can pass your requirements document to some other scripters I know. Which leads to... Requirements document? What requirements document? - The one you should draw up before you decide to retain a scripter. One of the most common errors in software engineering is not buggy code, but the programmer building something different than what the client wants. This is usually because of bad requirements documentation. Make sure that your scripter knows what you want. Be as detailed as you can, even if you're not an expert on the technical stuff. But first, make sure -you- know what you want, because it is more time consuming and expensive to change the design after the implementation has started. If you are having trouble collecting your thoughts, try for usage examples. Then your scripter can help you flesh out the details once you are sure of what you want.
- ** FAQs #3 What bracing style do you use? - ANSI (Allman BSD), usually. Why did you delete me from your friends list? >:O - I get a lot of people who friend me after asking about a project, and then never send any kind of specification or say a word to me after that. Therefore, I prune my list every couple of weeks so it's actually usable. Please don't take offense. How old are you? - Old enough to remember when Apple Pascal came on 140k floppies and to have carpal tunnel from swapping them so much. Hi. - Howdy. Why did you just summon a byakhee? O_o - You called me "hun". Die. Are you single? - Yes. Sooooo, wanna hop on this poseb--- - I'm not here to rub pixels together. If you see me at a place where pixels tend to get rubbed, I'm probably working on something for someone, so please don't make any assumptions. Lol. ASL? - 11111. Or about 2.62 jovian years. - (llGetUnixTime()/(60*60*24))%2?F:M. Except when there's a full moon. - About 38.6248402°N by 79.2447608°W.
- Classic Dungeon Crawl Experiment - Telengard/DND A work-in-progress to port Daniel Lawrence's mainframe DND game from the 70s and 80s to OpenSimulator, with modern enhancements. The finished game will feature server-controlled monsters and NPCs, a low lag RPG-style combat system with a relaxed play-style, five dungeons with 20 levels each, and (maybe) multiple modes of play (team, free-for-all melee, PvP, PvE, mixed modes). Right now, the only thing that fully works is the dungeon loader, so you can come explore the dungeon here on the LL grid and read about this history of the game. The instruction manual can be found by clicking on the rightmost wall display at the TP location. More to come soon, but this is a weekend free-time project, so it's a little slow.
