Endurance Writing

What we do is sort of like... well, picture a group of really friendly, supportive writerly-type folks all holding hands while running a 50-yard sprint, with that chain of linked hands holding strong to make sure that everyone gets across the finish line... except that as soon as they finish that sprint, they choose a new finish line just up ahead and take off running for that one... and they repeat this process again and again and again... until ultimately, lo and behold, they've run a marathon!
