Autism is a condition, a circumstance, and not a disease. Many on the autism spectrum resent the notion that they must be cured before being accepted by society.

Autism Speaks, on the other hand, is a group that seems to believe that autism must be eradicated. They perpetuate the view that autism must be cured, and engage in rhetoric which is self-serving and disrespectful.

Autism isn't a death-sentence. Autism is a life circumstance.
